Please read these terms carefully, and keep a copy of them for your reference.

These terms and conditions apply to purchases made on and the general use of the www.countyschoolwear.co.uk and www.countyschoolwear.com websites, and do not apply to off-line purchases made by Educational Establishments, Associations, Clubs, Organisations, Companies or Businesses or Individuals where separate arrangements will be agreed with County Sports and Schoolwear. Neither do they apply to off-line purchases made of approved school uniform where individual terms and conditions will be drawn up with each individual school.

The aim of these Terms and Conditions is to ensure complete customer satisfaction and protection through compliance with EU Distance Selling Regulations, Consumer Protection, Data Protection Legislation and current Office of Fair Trading Guidelines.

By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to accept these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions can potentially change at any time, and it is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions regularly before ordering products in case there are any changes. Your statutory rights are not affected.

How To Order

We have tried to make ordering your products as easy and convenient as possible with a user-friendly system, whereby you select items, colours and sizes required and click on "add to basket" on the respective product page. These items will then be saved and appear in a window at the top right of every page under the heading "Shopping Basket" whilst you browse around the site. When you are completely satisfied with all your selections then click on "Checkout" within the "Shopping Basket" window, and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your order.

At any time you will have the opportunity to abort, amend, add or revert back to the product pages before you click on the "confirm payment" button. If you have any concerns or queries, then please contact us by telephone or email and we will gladly assist. Similarly if you wish to purchase your items by cheque then please get in contact. Orders may be placed via "Buy Online" on our website, via telephone, email or in writing. Although we are unable to take card details over the telephone, we can provide you with an online Paypal Invoice on which to make payment or request an agreed amount within the Paypal portal. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any assistance with the ordering process.


We accept Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Solo and Electron through PayPal. We also accept personal and business account cheques as well as money transfer into our UK bank account. Please contact us if you require the details. Please make cheques payable to County Sports & Schoolwear and place the order by telephone, email or in writing. Please note that if paying by cheque then funds must clear before the order is despatched.

Despatch and Delivery

We aim to despatch plain stock orders within 2 - 3 working days. Orders requiring Embroidery and/or Printing are completed within 7 - 10 working days unless agreed otherwise. In the unlikely event that any items are out of stock then we shall contact you to inform you of the new timescales with the option to cancel the order.

Our standard mode of delivery within the UK is Royal Mail 2nd Class Post (1 - 3 working days delivery) with the option for 1st Class delivery, and Royal Airmail Small Packets for International Shipping (3 - 10 days). A courier service is used on certain large or bulky orders.

Should you require urgent delivery with same day despatch for next day UK delivery, then please contact us for more details, as this is available on certain stock items at an additional small premium.

UK P&P Delivery & International Shipping Charges

FREE Royal Mail 2nd Class UK delivery is available on selected items,  which will be marked accordingly. Free 2nd Class UK delivery is also available for online orders where the total order value exceeds £85.00, and for wholesale orders placed by email above £150.00 in value. For all other orders then the following rates will be charged relative to  the combined parcel weight of order.

P.O.A. - Price On Application. Variable rates apply to shipping of multiple bulk orders exceeding 2000g weight to European and Non-European destinations, please contact us for details. 

Cancelling Your Order

For most items, the law gives you 14 working days from the day after you received your goods ordered online to notify us of your intention to cancel your order. You then have a further 14 days to return the items to us. There are some exceptions to this rule, including: goods made to your own specification or personalised goods, such as those embroidered or printed with names/logos. Please refer to our exclusion policy*.

If you do wish to cancel your order within this time frame then please contact us by telephone, email or in writing. We will refund the original cost price of your item within 7 business days of receiving the returned goods. Alternatively, a replacement may be offered in certain circumstances.

You do not need to give any reasons for cancellation, however a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.You must return the goods in their original and resalable condition with hangers, tags still attached and individual product packaging undamaged at your own expense. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when you return your goods, so you may wish to take out sufficient postal insurance to cover their value.

Our Returns Policy

In addition to the above clause "Cancelling Your Order", County Sports & Schoolwear are happy to exchange or refund the cost of your item within 30 days of purchase providing goods are returned in a resalable condition with hangers, original tags still attached and original product packaging undamaged, and are not within our exclusion policy* (see below). This policy does not affect your legal rights. Please also see the paragraph on "Faulty Goods" below.

We recommend that customers use the product sizing measurements provided to minimise the possibility of ordering the wrong size.  Items may be returned by post or courier at your own expense.

  • If a replacement item is requested then this must be ordered online, where standard delivery charges will apply as set out above. Your item will be despatched in accordance with our current  2 - 3 working day policy. A refund for the original item price will be made within 7 business days from the date the returned item is received.
  • If a refund only is requested then, unless the item is found to be faulty, the original item price will be refunded within 7 business days from the date the returned item is received.

Please note that you are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when you return your goods, so you may wish to take out sufficient postal insurance to cover their value.

For returned orders exceeding £150.00 in value, then a re-stocking charge equivalent to 15% of the returned order value will apply and be deducted from any refund.

*Returns Exclusion Policy

We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on bespoke, customised and personalised items unless these items are faulty. These include made to order goods, customised and personalised goods decorated with any printed and embroidered logo, crest, name or text.

For reasons of health and hygiene we are unable to exchange or refund the following products: tights, hosiery and swim wear unless the hygiene strips and tags are still in place and packaging remains unopened and undamaged or unless faulty.

If there is ever any problem with any of our products then please contact us to discuss the matter, we will always do our utmost to resolve any issues.

Faulty Goods

If any goods are found to be faulty within a reasonable time after delivery, you are entitled to a full refund, repair or replacement.

Online School Shops

County Sports and Schoolwear agree to supply specific uniform items through a customised online shop platform for individual schools on the condition that the individual school commits to purchase any residual stock branded with the school name or badge/logo/colours should the supply contract end for any reason.
